As a professional make up artist my forte is special occasions. As the mandated make up artist for the Da Vincenzo Function Venue, I have helped prepare many brides, matriculants and ladies for their special occasion with stunning cosmetic results. I would like the opportunity to make you look your best for that very special day.
Trial Make-up Session
For the trial, we will get together at your home, office or best location for you, where we will discuss your forthcoming wedding / special occasion and all your make-up requirements. This session is normally done a month prior to your special occasion.
Everyone has different ideas of what 'natural, understated or dramatic' means, so it is important to have trial run to see what best suits you in a stress-free environment.
The following will be discussed during the trial:
Your colour scheme
Any skin & make-up allergies/sensitivity you are aware of
Hair and Eye colour is a big consideration
Skin type (oily, combination or dry). This will assist me in your choice of foundation
Your personal preferences
Useful Tip: If you had some make-up ideas in mind try and bring along some photos as this would be of great assistance in defining the look you would like to achieve. It is important to remember that a white wedding dress against the strong photographer’s lights washes out your everyday look. In order to combat this you will be wearing more makeup (especially foundation) than you are normally used to. This is evident with all those who appear in front of a camera. To assist in getting the look correct, digital "before and after" photo’s, can be taken so we can decide if we want to change anything before your big day!
Pre-Preparation
2 weeks prior to your special occasion I recommend that you have a mild facial to allow the skin to be freshly exfoliated which promotes further lasting effects for your make-up on the day.
On The Day
I arrive at your home (or venue) at the agreed time. You will need to be ready to start as time slips past very quickly! It's best to do hair first, then make-up. Wear loose comfortable clothing that can be easily changed out of. Please allow +/- 60 minutes for the bride, and 30 minutes for any additional bridesmaids/ladies.
Children / flower-girls are at no additional charge.
